To all webhosts advertising on WHT and using WHMCS

Wanted to bring up a point about your ad threads and using WHMCS as a billing system.
We had someone reach out to us to complain that a rather large number of providers here (some lesser known and some larger players) all were failing the WHMCS license check. They included a number of ad thread links in the complaint, and sure enough, they all failed the check.
Oh no!
I check mine. It also failed.
Oh no!

Don’t panic, it’s just yet another failure of the WHMCS licensing system and not you being a scofflaw (assuming ).
This happened to me once before, and the reason is it claims I hadn’t logged into my admin area in at least 10 days. Thing is, I’m in there daily. What I *don’t* do is log off at the end of the day (though their “security” constantly asks for my password again to confirm I’m still me). I’m assuming it’s seeing that as the same login, maybe. My other instance is and was fine, both times. The license checker not only fails, it seems, but fails randomly.

The fix?
Log into admin, go to help > license and click reissue.
Now every week set a reminder to check (isn’t WHMCS supposed to help *save* time?) your license is still valid, so potential customers don’t get the wrong idea as a result. Link: whmcs.com/members/verifydomain.php

If you’re actually not legally licensed to use WHMCS, go get something else and pay for it.
