Yes, it is trust without question — aka being a gullible rube. People need to learn not to take random websites at face value. After all, that’s how we get anti-vaxxers, Q-anon, flat earthers, etc.

That’s not much different from a student running to Wikipedia, without vetting it, or it’s sources. It’s lazy, careless. The student should get an F.

Most EIG/Newfold-using newbies get an F. They did minimal research.

Did I do that at some point? Sure, as a kid. Now? Hell no. You have really be a devious SOB to get one past me. It does happen, but not because I failed to do my homework. Shame on them, not shame on me. However, they won’t escape me unscathed.

Do you think I’m coming down hard on the OP? Maybe. Or maybe not. Educators won’t coddle this sort of huge mistake.
